THE
WIND NEVER CHANGES
(11
May 2009, Stewart’s Creek by Carl A. Patton)
Beloved
Peace be unto you. God is the same today as He was yesterday. He will also be
the same tomorrow. But whatever your specific needs He will carry you through. The
wind cooled my body on a warm beautiful day.
This
day alongside the swollen
muddy
creek I thought of peace
and
people. There was peace and
quiet
here.
But
I thought of people and how
they
often robbed the person arrested
in
solitude of their thoughts and broke
the
natural silence.
But
as I looked through the tree line
I
saw and felt the wind move as
leaves
upon trees and branches that
held
them moved.
Then
I thought does the wind change
like
the people? Can you count on
the
wind? I then went to the Creation
as
I knew that is from whence the,
Wind
came. Did nature
then
change? Or did it just make
God
ordained transitions to other
natural
wonders?
The
water though silent talked in so
many
ways. Bits of trees, branches
leaves,
twigs floated slowly by. The
fish
also moved and came up for air.
As
mass moved in and out and back
again
the water spread out going no
place
as the banks had already run over.
The
water thus changed the course of the creek.
But
the wind was the same high and low.
