Part 9: Mistaken Love: Working For God
In
the name of Almighty God, Master of the universe Ruler of all the earth
Greetings
Brethren,
Peace be unto you. To the Church
and believing Christians everywhere. To those that believe in the Bible as the
supreme authority that governs all of humankind. In this we give thanks to God
the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit that leads and guides us the
straightway.
Beloved God is an all knowing God
and He wills His will in many ways. John could see Samson as he could see
himself. Coming upon life as a sage he realized that he had also seen mistaken
love in order to work for God. Thus he had been to the bed chamber and saw the
realities of lust thinking it was love. However as the bride walked she talked
crooked and her steps were measured by the Devil.
So as we continue to discuss Samson
and love much is yet to be revealed. We resume our discussion at the 15th
Chapter of Judges. At verse one we see that Samson returned to be with his wife
and brought a gift of a young goat. But he was barred from her bed chamber by
her father.
As the chapter continues to verse 2
we see the father justifying his rebuke of Samson by saying that he thought
Samson hated his daughter due to the prior acts of deception and loved of self,
clan and family and not her husband. But what would one expect from the Philistines
the enemies of God’s people?
So now that another man has been
given possession of his wife the father offers Samson her sister. He also
claims that her sister is younger and more beautiful. Now look toward verses
4-6.
Judges 15: 4-6: “And Samson went and
caught three hundred foxes, and took firebrand, and turned tail to tail, and
put a firebrand in the midst between two tails.”
“And when he had set the brands on
fire, he let them go into the standing corn of the Philistines, and burnt up
both the shocks, and also the standing corn, with the vineyards and olives.”
“Then the Philistines said, Who
hath done this? And they answered, Samson, the son in law of the Timnite,
because he had taken his wife, and given her to his companion. And he
Philistines came up, and burnt her and her father with fire.”
We bear witness that there are no
folk tales in the Bible. The Bible is clearly the inspired word of God.
Therefore those that stoop to the low of denying the Bible are lost. Since God
had His hands on Samson the great feat of catching 300 foxes was not
impossible. Tying them together and lighting a torch would prove to be more
effective in destroying their corn fields than turning them loose one by one
into the corn fields of the Philistines.
At verse 6 the Philistines
determine that Samson was the perpetrator. They also determine the reason why
he set their corn fields on fire. Thus they laid the blame on his former wife
and her father.
The
Flesh Thinks Little: God Thinks Big
There
was once a time unlike Samson
that
a man was lonely as all his so-called
friends
and family had left. The birds
the
trees the Creek brought some comfort
but
he longed for the wind to blow upon
him
and a companion.
Satan
though looking, lurking to devour
everything
righteous in sight sent his eyes
and
dirty grimy hands on him knowing that
he
was a Godly man. He was caught off guard
as
a sweet talking Delilah with the genes of
Jezebel
claimed she also followed Christ.
He
thought it was love but God knew
better
as God only defines love not man or
woman.
So as the flesh took it he never lost
the
Spirit. Thus he took notes and mediated
over
each episode. God sent his pen in what
he
thought were romantic interludes but he,
Only
told a story of trickery and ways already
written
about Samson. However little did he
know
but his conversion caught up with him.
Blessed
is the Truth and knowledge of God
for
he was already in love. First with God and
Christ
and then with a mate that God sent him.
Feeling
the Spirit move within her this Godly
woman
spoke up as God moved her to speak.
Guard
the door to the righteous sage as you
guard
the door to your heart. Blessed are those
that
can see God together.
