Part 7: Samson Takes A Wife For God Or Pleasure?

In the name of Almighty God, Master of the universe Ruler of all the earth

Editors Note: Beloved blessed forever is the man who will stay with God. Prayer and faith will help guard against the evil stares and lust seekers that come to steal the righteous from God. However no thief in the night, day or at midnight can withstand the forewarnings to the Saints. Love is seen in the Godly as the lost, the pagans, heathens and the torch bearers only mock life that is everlasting and salvation. Her life ended upon a lust filled dung pile. However the life of the Saints will never cease to end as the burdens of this world, this foreign land are lifted as the righteous go up.

Writers Note: Beloved we bear witness that the sting of death upon the mis-educators in the school houses floats as light as a feather compared to the wrath of God that will be extended to those that scatter the flock.

Jeremiah 23 1: “Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the Lord.”

We also suggest that you closely read this entire chapter and all of the scriptures in Jeremiah and in the BIBLE that speaks toward God and what he told the Pastors/Preachers to do. Therefore those in the Seminaries and the various schools of Theology that willfully with premeditation distort the Word of God look to the Bible and see your reward. Meanwhile many come with high regard for man his institutions, church denominations etc. on their lips while Jesus our Lord and God the Father pass their lips only as lip service while loyalty to man and things temporal are foremost. However beloved brethren we will stay on the Lord’s side for He will greet us in Peace and Paradise while those that follow man will fall as unrepentant losers on the Hell side of the goats.

Peace be unto you. To the Church and believing Christians everywhere. To those that believe in the Bible as the supreme authority that governs all of humankind. In this we give thanks to God the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit that leads and guides us the straightway.

Beloved Almighty God used Samson not only to kill the enemies of the Israelites but also to show us that enslavement to passion can cause many problems. Although Samson moved blessed by the Spirit he also chose things ungodly along the way. However what are the great lessons learned from closely looking at the characters Samson, Delilah and Jezebel?

Can a man love an ungodly woman? Is love of a man and woman only sincerely seen among those that stay with God? Can you be with God lose your way and come back? How long did the man who left God stay gone? I only lasted a little while because I prayed without ceasing. I could see that the walk of the ungodly woman did not match the talk of an alleged Godly woman.

Our discussion of Samson and love continues at Judges 14: 10-12

“So his father went down unto the woman: and Samson made there a feast; for so used the young men to do.”

“And it came to pass, when they saw him that they brought thirty companions to be with him.”

“And Samson said unto them, I will now put forth a riddle unto you: if you can certainly declare it me within seven days of the feast, and find it out, then I will give you thirty sheets and thirty change of garments:”

The Philistine woman has been accepted as his wife. It was now the custom of the groom to prepare a wedding feast to the guest that had come to the wedding. (For an example of this see Laban and Jacob at Genesis 29: 27).

Thirty people were invited among the Philistines. Was this wedding only a measure to gain access to the Philistines to kill them? Meanwhile Samson put forth a riddle to these thirty men. If they solved the riddle they would receive each a garment, sheets of clothing. If they lost they would each owe Samson their garments.

Judges 14: 14-17: “And he said unto them, Out of the eater came forth meat, and out of the strong came forth sweetness. And they could not in three days expound the riddle.”

“And it came to pass on the seventh day, that they said unto Samson’s wife, Entice thy husband, that he may declare unto us the riddle, lest we burn thee and thy father’s house with fire: have ye called us to take that we have? Is it not so?”

“And Samson’s wife wept before him and said, Thou dost but hate me, and lovest me not: thou hast put forth a riddle unto the children of my people, and hast not told it me. And he said unto her, Behold, I have not told it my father nor my mother, and shall I tell it thee?”

“And she wept before him the seven days, while their feast lasted: and it came to pass on the seventh day, that he told her, because she lay sore on him: and she told the riddle to the children of her people.”

This riddle was formed due to his secret experiences with the lion noted in Chapter 13. They had seven days as the wedding feast lasted for this duration to solve the riddle. On the seventh day they still had not solved the riddle. They then appealed to his wife to gain the answer. They also threatened to burn the house of her father where she lived. They also accused her of a conspiracy with Samson take their property.

True to many situations that even exist today the ungodly woman then conspired to deceive her husband. She did this with tears and the constant nagging for the answer to the riddle. So on the seventh day she cried all day long and finally Samson broke down and told her the answer to the riddle. Did this woman love Samson or did she love first her pagan people then Samson? What was she promised if anything to deceive Samson? Just how important is family loyalty or loyalty to a pagan heathen clan to the members of this group?
