Part
5: Passion Or Obedience: The Sexual Addiction of Samson?
Editors Note: Beloved Brethren we
bear witness that God inspires the righteous to do His will. Some as did Samson
knew not that their mission was by design as a forewarning for the Saints
during these times and all times since the Word has been written. We see
because Almighty God looks for us. However, without submission we are blind.
Thus, there are many blind that can see and many that have two eyes, but see
nothing. Spiritual blindness is as barren and worthless as Black on Black
Discrimination. However many in the Church Houses cry out that they can see and
many that move in Human Rights( social) Programs leaving economic parity to
waste cast dark shadows on those that question all and list no exclusive oppressors. I heard and read
they answer to a Higher Calling.
In
the name of Almighty God, Master of the universe Ruler of all the earth
Greetings
Brethren,
Peace be unto you. To the Church
and believing Christians everywhere. To those that believe in the Bible as the
supreme authority that governs all of humankind. In this we give thanks to God
the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit that leads and guides us the
straightway.
Beloved God was patient with Samson
as the Spirit had come upon him from the womb. So as we continue our journey
with Samson we continue with the 14th Division of Judges. Samson had
been called to deliver the Israelites from the Philistines. However, he loved
sex and the company of women more than his assigned mission. Did Samson know
his mission? Why did he think God had blessed him with supernatural strength?
At the time of Samson’s birth the
people of Israel had been in bondage to the Philistines 40 years. This period of bondage had occurred because
they had done many things evil in the sight of the Lord. Meanwhile, Samson
early in his life showed a great weakness for passion and became a slave to the
ways of fornication. But how was God using him as He did not leave him until he
broke the vow regarding not to cut his hair?
We will begin with verses 1-4 at
Judge 14.
Judges 14: 1-4: “And Samson went
down to Timnath, and saw a woman in Timnath of the daughters of the
Philistines.”
“And he came up, and told his
father and his mother, and said I have seen a woman in Timnath of the daughters
of the Philistines: now therefore get her for me to wife.”
“Then his father and his mother
said unto him, Is there never a woman among the daughters of thy brethren, or
among all my people, that thou goest to take a wife of the uncircumcised
Philistines? And Samson said unto his father, get her for me; for she pleaseth
me well.”
“But his father and his mother knew
not that it was of the Lord, that he sought an occasion against the
Philistines; for at that time the Philistines had dominion, over Israel.”
Although the Philistines were
heathens and marriage to a Philistine woman would disgrace his family his
father consented to the marriage. Also of note is that Samson was called to a
special service and that God allowed him certain privileges that the ordinary
Israelite would not be privy to.
Therefore, the Lord was using him
to carry out a particular mission. But as we read further we see that Samson
had his own personal agenda. However neither Samson nor his parents knew that
God was in the midst of all these affairs. Therefore God sought to place Samson
in a position of advantage regarding the enemy. Was his marriage to the
Philistine woman part of this plan?
God’s
People For God’s People
Romance
for the Godly went to
another
level as Christ was always
recognized
as a part of this love
and
triune.
Those
with the true heart of God
would
seek and be blessed to find
those
that also embraced the triune.
They
would soon know the true heart.
Here
was no addiction to things sexual
nor
was lust, infatuation of any merit.
Love
here was never challenged as the
Godly
always could see the balance.
Balance
meant being hot with God
not
with man. Mules could not yoke
with
cows and cows could not yoke
with
mules.
The
enemies of God were loved but not
their
sins and crimes nor could there be
a
yoke found to fit those that had left
God
or had never known are seen the Light.
The
Godly, me and you will thus obey
God
and not submit to passion as it is a
Forbidden
fruit. Bad fruit taints the
heart
and brings up dung from the stomach.
Beloved
God sent us. We also want to
leave
with God. Disobedience will render
the
absence of the Spirit. Holding hands
the
Spirit is all we can take with us.
This
same Spirit also holds us deep in
prayer.
Praying together is better than
sleeping
together, eating together are
walking
together.
