A TRIBUTE IN LOVE
LOVE GAINED: LOVE LOST (SAMSON, DELILAH, JEZEBEL)
Part 12:
Naked At Midnight With A Harlot Can Be Fatal
In
the name of Almighty God, Master of the universe Ruler of all the earth
Editors Note: Let it be written that a Godly man can only love a Godly woman. However
many come these days as did in the days and times of Samson to seduce those
commissioned by God for certain work. But as we stay in the Spirit we can see
many things. God for sure will lead and guide us we only have to keep our eyes
closed and open to all things as sleep comes in the morning as the night is a
time of great reflection.

Greetings
Brethren,
Peace be unto you. To the Church
and believing Christians everywhere. To those that believe in the Bible as the
supreme authority that governs all of humankind. In this we give thanks to God
the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit that leads and guides us the
straightway.
Beloved we are still unraveling the
great mystery of Samson. Here more is told than the eye can see. Continue with
us to the 16th Division of Judges and the first three verses.
Judges 16: 1-3: “Then went Samson
to Gaza, and saw there an harlot, and went in unto her.”
“And it was told the Gazites,
saying, Samson is come hither. And they compassed him in, and laid wait for him
all night in the gate of the city, and were quiet all the night, saying, In the
morning, when it is day, we shall kill him.”
“And Samson lay till midnight, and
arose at midnight, and took the doors of the gate of the city, and the two posts,
and went away with them, bar and all, and put them upon his shoulders, and carried them up to the top of an hill that is
before Hebron.”
Gaza was an important town in the
land of the Philistines. At this place is where Samson went to patronize a whore.
Also this was the place where the enemies of the Israelites also lived. Also let the record show these same people
had a vendetta against Samson and he also had been assigned the task to
eliminate these people and blessed with supernatural power to do so.
Meanwhile at verse 2 we see that
the men of Gaze knew he had come in their city. However they knew not where.
Most cities during these times were walled and one had to go and come through
the gates that were locked at night. Thus the men waited by the gate in the
hope of capturing Samson in the morning.
At verse 3 we see that Samson
decided to leave after he had laid with the woman at midnight. Since the gates
were locked he demonstrated his awesome physical power by tearing the gates
from the posts and carrying the gates and posts with him to the top of a hill
near Hebron. This physical feat convinced the Philistines that he was not an
ordinary man and they would have to deal with him much differently.
But what else do these three verses
tell us? What if the Philistines who have dealt in treachery and deception
before had solicited the harlot to seduce Samson? God’s work does not allow
time for harlots and those that stand against God and His people.
Sweet
and Sour Lips
The
destruction of man has had no
greater
ally than the evil charms
of
a seductress sent by those that
rile
against and not faint at the
power
of God.
Thus
as man falls in weakness he is
devoured
by wicked charms that
say
one thing but mean things not
for
his good. Thus man should continue
the
task he was sent out to do.
But
the evil that rests in Satan will
call
from this way and that way.
When
he determines a way you like
and
love to go he will stand that way
with
open arms.
But
beware of sweet lips that are
sour.
Lips that seek to render you
naked
at midnight so that harm
can
come to you and your soul.
Many
things are thought to be sweet.
For
a foolish breath brings not
prayers
at midnight nor at the
break
of day. Sorrow knows no
greater
resting place than in those that
leave
God.
