FALLEN FRUIT: THE YOUNG DIE YOUNG

Greetings Brethren,

Peace be unto you. Can the mothers and fathers afford to bury the young as they die a step away from real manhood? Who has insurance among the gang-bangers? Well is there any mood among the masses or the policy makers to insure all people? Out upon the land as far as we can see there are guns, gangs, young men and young women and premature death.

Flowers That Never Bloom

I picked a rose from my rose garden

on every day I liveth as I and my kinsmen

all love to smell and see in admiration

the flowers that bloom.

Red, white, pink and many colors of the

natural rainbow were captured among

the roses of the garden. Many other

flowers also came up from ground.

However many died hampered by bad

soil and not enough rain. Nature nurtured

them but man left them to shame. What was the

place they could have had in the bouquets,

Of life? Meanwhile there were many functions

where the grace of floral arrangements were

needed. However the dead could see nothing at

a funeral. Wasted flowers by the grave sides.

Beautiful flowers in the morning sunshine waiting

on the rain. Some that are astute and with vision

in the Ghetto reveal in song that many come to live

as if they are bullet proof.

Toe tagging is the game. Who could cock a pistol

aim and shoot? The urban youth have never witnessed

any degree of gun safety. The farm boys raised up in

the woods know how to hunt rabbits and squirrels and,

Cock and aim and shoot at something to eat. However

the urban cowboys hardly can load a gun. Budding flowers

thus, are often wasted for nothing as all did not die over

a turf, retaliation or robbery for drugs, money and jewelry.

Toe tagged for nothing is this the way to go out? Who will

step up to the plate and address this problem? Where are our

leaders? As sure as the pen we have been blessed with has ink

we will cry out for the flowers that never bloom. Have mercy Lord.
