Greetings
Brethren,
We do declare
that all humankind that wallows in the disbelief of God is limited in
knowledge, information, and wisdom. Let it be written and shouted from the highest
mountain top that one can never grasp the essential nature (essence) of the
social, economic, political, psychological histories of humankind that includes
all of his endeavors without the knowledge of God.
Those that have
crawled along the intellectual road without God have an inflated ego inspired
by Satan. However, God builds the database of the righteous toward the high
road of Truth and Knowledge. Thus, this person the believer can “Obtain A
Methodology for Truth.”
Peace and Love,

RACE AND
GOD(BLACK NOR WHITE)
PART 17:
WE DO NOT SEE GOD LIKE MAN
In the name of Jehovah God, Master of the universe,
Ruler of the earth.
Glory be to God the
Father of all humankind. We thank you Father for your son Jesus Christ our Lord
and Savior. We are also grateful for the Peace and Joy the Holy Spirit brings.
We pray for patience and faith to continue our mission of faith. Thus we are
very grateful for the trust placed in us and the deliverance power that sends
us on our witness path.
As we continue
to explore this topic, we remind the reader that often one can define, and
bring clarity to a question by noting what it is not. Therefore we seek to define
and clarify certain scriptures that are often used to maintain that the Bible
teaches that Jesus is Black. As you know the primary scriptures used to note
this erroneous belief comes from Revelation 1:14-15.We have previously brought
Revelation 1:14 up for review and now we will note verse 15.
Revelation 1:15.
"And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and
his voice as the sound o many waters."
In the attempt
to describe Jesus as Black the usual way is to take words noted in the passage
that many think apply to color. Therefore in this passage of scripture the word
brass and the phrase "burned in a furnace," seeks to justify this
color description. For the record the Bible is clear on the ethnic line of
Jesus Christ. Also, the Biblical record and secular history reveals the skin
color or hue of the original Hebrew people. However, people of God need not
dwell on the color and ethnicity of the Divine. Nor should the Godly dwell on
the race of those inspired by God as noted among the Prophets and Apostles. We
note another point here that is very important. A correct reading of the Bible
notes the initial impact of the people from the land of the Blacks. Thus, these
people have always played a great part in the Christian experience. But to get
involved in a game of what people made the greatest contributions is not of
God.
Now back to the
point. What is brass and how is it used in the Bible? The secular definition
notes brass as a yellow metal that is an alloy of copper and zinc, in various
proportions, commonly two parts of copper, or a little less, to one of zinc. In
the Bible brass is next to silver and gold as the most frequently mentioned in
Scripture. Meanwhile, the Old Testament uses one word or four words from one
root for copper, bronze and brass. (See Job 28:2, II Samuel 22:35, Daniel 10:6
and Revelation 1:15).
In Genesis 4:22
we see the Tubal-cain as the first man mentioned as a worker in brass and iron.
For further clarity on the use of brass in scripture we now turn to the Book of
Daniel and review verses 2:31-39. In Nebuchadnezzar's vision the belly and
thighs of brass signified the future dominion of Greece. The Greek soldiers
were notable for their brazen shields and weapons.
Daniel 2:32.
"This image's head was of fine gold, his breast and his arms of silver,
his belly and his thighs of brass,"
The vision that
Daniel saw was one of four great empires. In the 32nd verse only three of these
empires are noted. Again we note that the Greek empire is noted as brass. The last
verse in question verse 39 will give us additional clarity.
Daniel 2:39.
"And after thee shall arise another kingdom inferior to thee, and another
third kingdom of brass, which shall bear rule over all the earth."
The four world empires
noted in verse 31 are (Also see Ezekiel 1) Babylonian, Medo-Persian, Macedonian
and Roman. In the 39th verse only two are mentioned. One is noted as inferior
and the other the prophet calls a kingdom of brass. This kingdom was the
Macedonian or Greek Empire. Meanwhile, for further clarity on the use and
meaning of brass in scripture we turn to the parallels of secular history.
In Rollins,
"Ancient History," Volume 1, page 223. Psammetichus was an Egyptian
ruler who wanted revenge among the Greeks. "A courtier brought him news
that brazen men had landed in Egypt. These were Grecian soldiers, who had been
cast upon the coast of Egypt by a storm, and were completely covered with
helmets, and other arms of brass."
(Also see Herodotus, Book 2, section 151).
Now as we return
to the particulars of our primary verse we see that brass was a fine metal like
gold. Also, brass had references to people. Yet our primary thought here is
that brass was a fine metal and the color distinction would not be a color that
relates to Black people or for any people for that matter. The phrase "as
if burned in a furnace" is said to indicate the brightness of the
appearance. The figurative meaning of "many waters," means great
numbers of people. The significance of this statement and the previous verse is
to show the dignity and authority of Christ as represented by this person the
Angel. (Also see Ezekiel 1:7).
To further
dispute the false teaching of noting images and racial pictures of Jesus we
will continue with a discussion of the remaining verses in Revelation Chapter
1.
