PARABLES A REFLECTION ON THE SEVEN
CHURCHES
Part 9: Matthew 13:15: The Fear of
Christ
Greetings Brethren,
Peace be unto you.
The sojourn to Peace to Paradise comes with the price of responsibility. Some shy
from the Word fearful that they will be compelled to comply.
Peace and Paradise,
Carl Patton writing for the FreedomJournal 13 December 2005 in the year of our
Lord and Savior Christ Jesus.
In the name of Almighty God, Master of the universe, Ruler of the
earth.
Many people in the
seven Churches feared the Word as to embrace the Word renders responsibility.
Meanwhile we have many people that are Church goers today that run from the
Word fearing the arms of conversion.
Matthew 13:15: “For
this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and
their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes,
and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be
converted, and I should heal them.”
The ears, eyes, heart
etc are used to illustrate the moral and spiritual situation of the people.
Gross means to make stupid, to render the soul dull or callous. However the
people had a motive that caused them to be locked on stupid.
They brought on this
condition; for fear that they might hear some Truth that would expose their
evil deeds. Also the exposure to Truth would then press them into the service
of Christ. Brethren does this scripture also reveal that anyone who embraces
the Truth will work in His service?
Just how are the
people mentioned at this place distinguished? Did the Church leaders with
credentials from accredited schools of Theology willfully run from Truth?
Therefore allowing them a comfort zone when they lie about money and prosperity
in the Church?
