PARABLES A REFLECTION ON THE SEVEN CHURCHES

Part 11: Matthew 13:17: What Will The Parables Reveal?

Greetings Brethren,

Peace be unto you. Will the elect be able to explain the Parables to the multitudes then and now? Who are the Pharisees and Sadducees today? Who still come denying the resurrection placing custom and tradition over God?

Peace and Paradise, Carl Patton a willing servant of Almighty God writing for the FreedomJournal 14 December 2005 in the year of our Savior Christ Jesus.

In the name of Almighty God, Master of the universe, Ruler of the earth.

As the Prophets walked upon the earth they revealed much but most to ears full of wax and hearts made of stone. However much was still divinely planned in mystery. As Jesus came also walking, preaching, healing and performing miracles much still was not ordered for all to see.

Matthew 13:17: “For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear and have not heard them.”

At one time the Lord did not expect the people to have full knowledge of the divine plan. However many things still could be discerned by proper attention to what was revealed. But the Pharisees failed to capture this Truth because their hearts were hard and not of God. Meanwhile the Parables that follow this verse will reveal much to the righteous.

Turn now to a powerful scripture found at I Peter 1: 10-12. We will note verses 10 and 12.

I Peter 1: 10: “Of which salvation the prophets have inquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you: “(Also see Genesis 12:3 and Galatians 3:8).

Verse 12: “Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent  down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.” (Also see Daniel 9:24).

The prophecy in the Old Testament reveals the salvation that will come from Christ. Brethren our hearts burn as we see so many people that fail to see and hear this prophecy although they claim they do. We bear witness that you deny Christ and the resurrection when you offer Tithes to the Church. Give as your heart wills but it is not commanded by God during this time of Christ and the New Law. Christ died, and rose from the dead to remove the need to make this sacrifice.

The record shows that the prophets were inspired although they often did not know the full meaning of the prophecies. Jesus often spoke of these persons of Old who wished to know these truths but were not permitted to do so.

In verse 11 it is revealed that Christ had to suffer for the salvation of man (Also see Psalms 22 and Isaiah 53).

Meanwhile verse 12 reveals that the great Prophets were not informed of their ministry of prophecy. The Prophecy of the Old Testament regarding Christ was for the Christian Dispensation. These truths were rendered by the preachers of the Gospels the Apostles. The Apostles were able to decipher these Truths with the aid of the Holy Spirit that was sent down from heaven. (Also see Exodus 25:20 and Ephesians 3:10).

The Holy Spirit had come upon John as he wrote the Book of Revelation. We now have the complete Bible and the Holy Spirit. However the righteous will continue to see while the unrighteous will forsake the Book for man, money, fiction and material things.
