PARABLES
A REFLECTION ON THE SEVEN CHURCHES
Greetings Brethren,
Peace be unto you. Hence deaf ears still abound as the scribes
continue to call evil up for review. However in the guise of righteousness they
reject Truth and hear only man.
Peace and Paradise,

In the name of Almighty God, Master of the universe, Ruler of the
earth.
Are there any parallels
between the seven Churches as noted in Revelation 2-3 and the seven Parable
noted in Matthew 13? What is for certain is that many then and now still do not
hear the Word of God. Why? Who will listen?
As we approach this
topic as always we are prayerful that God will once more inspire us with the
strength and wisdom to record something that those who stay in the Spirit will
see and hear.
A Parable can be
described as a comparison of two objects for the purpose of teaching. While the
word Parable as related to Jesus is most prominent in the New Testament being
fount there 46 times, it does occur 15 times in the Old Testament.
Although Christ did
not invent the Parable, it is significant that He is the only one who used them
in the New Testament. However we do have parabolic instruction throughout the
New Testament. Meanwhile it is of note that at one time in His ministry it was
His only way of speaking to the masses.
Matthew 13:34. “All
these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable
spake he not unto them:” (We also refer you to additional scripture regarding
this verse found at Mark 4:33-34; John 10:6 and 16:25).
Were the multitudes
meant to understand the Parables? Why couldn’t they understand the teaching of
Jesus without Parables? Will they listen? How can you understand if you don’t
listen?
Meanwhile the Bible
is the greatest example of Parables and allegoric material in existence.
