Part 90: Liars In The Church Should Be Rebuked (Titus 1: 12-13)

Greetings Brethren,

Peace be unto you. In the name of Almighty and all wise God our Father and to Christ Jesus who sent us the Holy Spirit.

“Brethren many come misrepresenting the Truth not for sport but for gain.”

There are great lessons to be learned from the message Paul gave to Titus. Brethren just what is the task of the scribes today? Can they see through the telescope to these times if they come only to take pictures for material gain?

Let it be written, let it be said that we (FreedomJournal) have witnessed among Preachers as some of the greatest liars of all times. Why?

Titus 1: 12: “One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, The Cretains are always liars, evil beasts, slow bellies.

Even the natives of Crete (Island) the writer’s and Prophets accused the people of Crete of being habitual liars. However they lied for a reason. This reason was for material gain. Brethren is the greatest motivation for those that preach today that lie on God material gain? But how can you gain by lying on God?

“There was once a man who saw preaching as a great Con-Game. He knew that many people allowed their emotions to take hold of “good sense.” Thus he sought to tell falsehoods that would promote and convince the people to bring all of their savings (dollars) to the church. He also devised a weekly payment plan for all members and told them God is the one that commands this payment. And if you do not pay you will not be able to go to heaven and you will also be punished here on earth in various ways.”

BRETHREN PLEASE READ ALL FOUR CHAPTERS OF MALACHI. HERE THE PROPHET SPOKE FIRST TO THE PRIESTHOOD. ALSO BELOVED BE AWARE THAT THE COMMAND TO TITHE WAS FOR THE JEWS DURING THE OLD LAW. THEREFORE IF YOU TITHE TODAY ARE YOU A JEW? ALSO DO YOU STILL WAIT ON THE MESSIAH? SIMPLY IF YOU ACCEPT CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOR YOU SHOULD REALIZE THAT HE CAME TO REMOVE THE NEED TO TITHE AS A WAY TO ATONE FOR SINS. THINK ON THIS AS YOU MAY GRIEVE THE HOLY SPIRIT AS YOU DENY CHIRST AND BELLEIVE THAT GOD REQUIRES A TITHE AMONG THE BELIEVERS TODAY.”

Meanwhile, the man who was stricken with a money message was a liar. Therefore those that read and study the Bible realize that God wants your heart. Money has nothing to do with and has little bearing on the way (road) to salvation. Thus as the material treasure will wallow and waste away in the dust the heart which has a right Spirit will carry-over to the Day of Judgment and Peace and Paradise.

The people at Crete who perverted the Gospel for gain were evil beasts, a low type of individual. They were also “slow bellies” which implies that they were greedy. Those that have a chief interest in satisfying a never-ending appetite would most likely take on the unprincipled attitudes of the people just described.

Titus 1: 13: “This witness is true, Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith; “

Paul confirms the statement rendered by the Creteian Prophet. Those that lie on God do not deserve much compassion, thus he advises Titus to rebuke them sharply. The reason for the sharp rebuke is that they may be sound in the faith. This simply means that a sharp reprimand hopefully will promote them to tell the Truth and stop lying.

Brethren the FreedomJournal comes with a sharp rebuke upon those that mis-lead and scatter the flock. We know that some of you feel that we are too harsh at times, but the Word teaches us to speak out about those that distort the Word and this is our mission.

For you thought and mediation embrace the following scripture:

I Timothy 5: 20: “Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.”
