IS MASTUBATION WRONG?
Part 9: Allow Marriage To Control
Desires of The Flesh (I Corinthians 7: 8-16 and I Thessalonians 4: 1-3)
Greetings Brethren,
Peace be unto you.
Thanks be to Almighty God for yet another day. Father we do give thanks for
your son our Savior Christ Jesus and for the Holy Spirit.
Man should never make
any laws that infringe on the divine institution of marriage. Meanwhile many
that are elderly and on fixed incomes live in sin because they cannot live (as
they flirt with poverty) on but one Social Security check. However can man
mandate the laws of marriage that has nothing to do with Biblical reality?

In the name of God, Master of the universe, Ruler of the earth
Brethren we are going
to move our discussion to I Thessalonians. However we suggest that you read and
study the remaining verses in the bracket of scripture where Paul teaches about
marriage at I Corinthians 7: 1-16
Our mission is to
find out what the Bible teaches about masturbation. In order to do this we have
to study what the Bible teaches about fornication, sexual sin, marriage etc.
Ingrained in these topics we hope to find what God would have us to know
regarding this subject.
During the time Paul
wrote to the Thessalonians sexual standards and moral behavior was at a low
place. Thus Paul comes teaching them how they should love to please God. He
also knew that the Law had been replaced by Christ and came preaching by that
authority.
I Thessalonians 4: 3:
“For this is the will of God even your sanctification, that ye should abstain
from fornication: (See I Cor. 6: 18, 7: 2 and I Peter 3: 7).
The people
(Thessalonians) as most people that come to embrace Christ have lived thriving
on carnal pleasures. The major carnal pleasure being fornication. Some even
mixed as was the custom of many pagans during these times idol worship with
sexual practices.
Sanctification means
purification “the hearts of mankind are purified by faith (Acts 15: 9).
Furthermore in Romans 10: 17 it is revealed that faith come by hearing the word
of God. Therefore sanctification is a result of hearing the word of God.
However to hear is one thing but to launch sanctification one must obey the
word. This renders righteousness. Thus Paul teaches them that to be saved
(sanctification) they must abstain from fornication. This is true for us today.
Therefore we clearly see that masturbation as it relates to fornication is wrong.
At Hebrews 13: 4 we
find a companion scripture.
“Marriage is
honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God
will judge”.
God has ordained marriage
as honourable because it is the Lord's way to replenish the earth. God has also
allowed these relationships between man and woman to be pleasurable as a way to
induce man to cooperate with him. However many people abuse this relationship
and use birth control. Whoremongers refer especially to mean in this verse who
are immoral and adulterers to either sex.
