LONESOME
TREES LOOKING AT THE MOON
(12
June 2008 by Carl A. Patton)
I
leaned back looking
up
at the sky, looking
at
the moon standing
in
half of its glory.
The
candles danced in
the
night air flashing
dauntless
light as I
looked
to paper and,
These
words. Here at
this
place solitude hit
me
however inspirational
music
played in the,
Background.
But what
struck
me most were
the
tall trees looking
up
at the sky.
These
were lonesome
trees
as I could feel
their
anguish reaching
for
the sky.
