CAN A HEN-PECKED MAN BE A GODLY MINISTER/MAN?

Editors Note: Greetings Brethren, Peace be unto you. We bring you greetings from our Father Almighty God and our Savior Christ Jesus blessed by the Holy Spirit. Often we need a female perspective on certain questions. While our Sister in Christ Catherine Patton Cothran and Sister in blood rests we look to our Spiritual Advisor Mini R. Patton for her advice and counsel on this subject.

As the many False Prophets come before the people preaching and teaching Biblical distortions one of the major crimes committed against scripture is the alleged dual role of men and women. For example instead of man accepting the role assigned him by God he makes a Hell-bent fall to a domineering devil inspired wife. Thus some come up with this notion of a Two-Headed household. However we declare with all confidence that no matter how you try to twist the Bible God meant for man to be the Head as Christ is the Head of the Church.

So can you be a Godly man and be hen-pecked? The blues singer said pecked by the right hen. But that was the blues and this rationale does not apply to the Church. Can you serve God devoid of the Divine Order of man and the woman?

CAN A HEN-PECKED MAN BE A GODLY MINISTER/MAN?

A Minister has to be counted faithful, by God. (I Timothy 1:12). A man faithful to God will not try to rewrite the Scriptures. (I Corinthians 11:3) The Head of every man is Christ. And the Head of the woman is man (husband). And the Head of Christ is God (Jehovah). This is the order in which God set the standards, not man. Some would argue that we are in the 21^st Century and this is old fashioned. Is God’s Word old fashioned? Do we have a right to change his Word when we think it is outdated?

Remember, the Epistles are written to The Church (Believers). If you want to pick-out what you don’t like in the Bible, ask yourself, Who’s Side Are You On? There are only two roads, Hell or Peace and Paradise. This doesn’t give men free range, Husbands, love your wives, Even as Christ also loved the Church, and gave Himself for it. (Ephesians 5:25) So ought men to love their wives as their Own Bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

Some Religions say that these Scriptures apply to all married people. However I beg to differ with the notion that man rules the woman and she is submissive to him in a way that relates to a slave. God did not intend for women to be used by men or abused. He did not put women under the feet of men. He put her by his side as a helpmate. How can an unrighteous man be the head when he doesn’t go by the Word in anyway? Do you think God would put the life of a woman in the hands of an ungodly man? NO!

Remember, the Epistles are written to the Church. A person, who doesn’t do the Will of God, would not be trusted by God to guide any one. By Faith, we are Saved. I believe the Whole Bible we don’t have the wisdom to choose what is truth and what is not. How can a woman be a born again Christian and be afraid to trust the leadership of a born again Christian man. If you know by your husband’s walk that he is a Christian, what are you afraid of? Some of you are not afraid; you just want to be the Head. You had better check your relationship with the Master. Again, we are not to add or take away one Word from Scripture.

I’ve had some “Christian Women” tell me that I shouldn’t cater to my husband. By cater they meant: Don’t starch his clothes that’s old fashioned. It may be, but that’s the way he likes his clothes. “He works you to death, boiling that drinking water.” Meddling in my affairs, I did not ask them their opinions. Maybe, the Holy Spirit was bothering them.

What they did not know is we catered to each other.
