Greetings Brethren:

We thank Almighty God for another opportunity to reveal the Truth of the Word. Woe!!! To all the Faith-Healers and the Con Artists that claim Healing Power. Benny Hinn and the host of TV Healers are Crooks that commit on-going acts of Larceny. (Are most? (ALL) of the TV Ministries an exercise in Larceny and Ungodly?) There is a need for man to pass laws to stop these Devils.

HOWEVER REST ASSURED THE GOD WE SERVE WILL JUDGE THE FOOLS AND FALSE PROPHETS. THIS JUDGMENT WILL BE ETERNAL DEATH.

Peace and Love,

Carl Patton writing for the FreedomJournal December 28, 2001 in the year of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Christianity: False Teaching, False Doctrines

The Miracle of Healing

Part 79: God Heals Because of Compassion and Mercy (Mark 1:41, Luke 7:13).

In the Name of Jehovah God, Master of the Universe, Ruler of the Earth.

The New Testament Book of Mark begins with the ministry of Jesus in Galilee. Jesus as a Preacher and Teacher brings the message of Good News to the people. Jesus also heals the sick and afflicted. Jesus heals a man with leprosy, Mark 1:40-45, this scripture is also noted in Matthew 8:1-4, and Luke 5:12-16.

Leprosy was an incurable disease. People that were afflicted with this disease were required to live apart from society (see Leviticus 13:45, 46). The Leper noted in this passage had seen the miracles of Jesus and he believed. This belief was in the healing power and the miracles performed by Jesus.

Mark 1:41."And Jesus moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean."

Leprosy was a contagious disease on physical contact. Therefore, when Jesus touched the leper he proved his faith in the Power that the Father had given him. He also uttered the word of cleansing in connection with the physical contact.

The following verse brings greater clarity to the question of how were people healed by Jesus. Here we see scripture that refutes the various Con-Games by Contemporary Faith healers. (Also see: Hebrews 2:17, 4:15).

Mark 1:42."And as soon as he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed."

"As soon as he had spoken," the man was cleansed of his leprosy. This reveals that Jesus (physical contact) did not have to touch the man to heal him. We also note that Jesus did not require the man to wait on his healing. Meanwhile, we see the Contemporary Faith-Healers requiring an indefinite period for healing. Thus saying, "it takes time" and if their faith "holds out" they will be healed. This proves as noted in scripture that the Faith-Healers are Con-men and Frauds.

Also see addition scripture in Mark that note the Compassion of Jesus in reference to healing: Mark 5:19, Mark 9:22.

We now turn to the Book of Luke where we see another great act of compassion by Jesus Christ. Jesus raises a widow's son from the dead. Luke 7: 11-17.

Nain was a village of Galilee. This same district contained Capernaum. The crowds also followed Jesus as he journeyed to this place. The death of this young man was especially critical and sorrowful for the mother because he was her only support. This is why the people (many people) were with her showing their sympathy and support.

Luke &: 15. "And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her weep not."

Compassion means pity, and Jesus felt that way toward this sorrowing mother (see Isaiah 53:4). As he sympathized with her, he told her to stop weeping.

Luke 7:14. "And he came and touched the bier; and they that bare him stood still and he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise."

Jesus touched the bier (casket) to indicate that he wished the pallbearers to stop. He showed that he had power over inanimate objects. In response to the command of Jesus the man came to life and set up. He then spoke to them and rejoined his mother.

The raising of the dead was part of the healing miracles of Jesus and the Apostles. We also advise our readers that the Faith-Healers will not try to raise a body from the dead. Why? Because you will instantly know that they are fakes, because the dead person will remain dead. Also, they know that they are suspect if they say he\she will wake up later on the next day and they don't wake up. Thus, the False-Healers do not go to hospitals, morgues, or the graveyard. Also see Luke 8:54, John 11:43, Acts 9:40, Romans 4:17.

Cont. Part 80: There Is Victory Over Disease & Death (1 Samuel 17:47, 1 Cor.15: 54-58, Isaiah 25:8, Hebrews 11:1-3).
