CHRISTIANITY:
FALSE TEACHING, FALSE DOCTRINE
THE MIRACLE OF
HEALING
PART 59: PRAY IN
AGREEMENT WITH ONE ANOTHER
MATTHEW (18:
19-20).
IN THE NAME OF JEHOVAH GOD, MASTER OF THE EARTH, RULER OF THE UNIVERSE.
We thank God Jehovah
for another opportunity to record the Truth of His word. We have come alive
this morning with a heart of thanks, love and compassion and the wish for
repentance and salvation for the enemies of Jehovah and the enemies of
Jehovah's people. We bear witness that we live for the opportunity to witness
and grow in the spirit and knowledge of truth.
Believers should be
on one accord. If you truly have a heart that pleases Jehovah God you can
relate to other believers. You will also be able to understand the frustrations
and anxieties of the lost. Jesus (Matthews 18:15-20) teaches us about how to
treat a believer who sins. However, a very important part of these scripture
passages reveals the essence of prayer.
Matthew 18:19.
"Again I say unto you that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching
anything that they
shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father, which is in
heaven."
This passage
reveals that some things can be done without the presence of an Apostle.
However, the verse applies to the disciples generally. This is mentioned
because two is the minimum number that can compose a unit of the church. Agree
means to be in accord, to harmonize. But they must agree on the things that are
right. These things were taught as the Law of Christ. The Lord wishes that the
Church be united in the activities fulfilling the spiritual welfare of all.
Finally, when there
is agreement in prayer and believers are on one accord prayer becomes
effective. Thus, Jehovah answers prayers of agreement noted in righteousness.
Matthews 18:20.
"For when two or three are gathered together in my name, then am I in the
midst of them."
The conclusion of
this verse is based upon the truth stated in verse 19. This passage means that
they were to gather in the name of Christ. All authority and glory must be
given to Christ through His Church (Ephesians 3:21). The presence of Jesus is
always noted when any group of two or more disciples assembles in accordance to
verse 19. See 2 Corinthians 2:10.
Jesus while talking
to the disciples reveals His future plans to be with His followers. His
presence, however, will not be in body but through the Holy Spirit. Within the
body of believers the sincere and righteous agreement of the people is
powerful. The superficial and false agreement of the wicked is worthless when
the Holy Spirit is absent. Thus, the righteous will pray and be moved and
guided by the Holy Spirit according to the will of God.
