THE MIRACLE OF HEALING
PART 19: HEALING: THE ABUNDANCE
OF PEACE & TRUTH (JEREMIAH 33:6)
In
the name of God, Master of the universe, Ruler of the earth.
God promises peace and prosperity to
the people of
Jeremiah 33:1.
"Moreover the word of the Lord
came unto Jeremiah the second time, while he was shut up in the court of the prison, saying.
This is the second time Jeremiah
received this message while in prison (see Jeremiah 32:1-2). The conflict with the Babylonians did not change
God's purpose for his people. Although
33:2. "Thus saith the lord the maker thereof,
the Lord that formed it, to establish it; the Lord is his name."
God created the earth, therefore He
has the power to give it to who he chooses. (See Exodus
33:3. "Call unto me, and I will answer thee,
and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest
not."
Here the prophet Jeremiah calls upon
the Lord for information concerning things heretofore un- revealed. God is a merciful God and stands
ready to answer our prayers. However, we must ask God for
assistance. When we ask we acknowledge that God is all powerful and we humble
ourselves before Him.

Psalms 50:15. "And call upon me
in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me."
Psalms 145: 18. "The Lord is
nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth."
Isaiah 48:6. "Thou hast heard,
see all this; and will not yet declare it? I have showed thee new things from this time, even hidden things,
and thou didst not know them."
Isaiah 55:6-7. There are blessings
for those who seek the Lord, Isaiah tells the people to call upon the Lord while he is near.
Isaiah 58:9. Share with the needy.
Then shalt thou call, and the Lord will answer.
Matthew 7:7. Jesus teaches about
asking, seeking and knocking.
"Ask, and it shall be given you;
seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
Jeremiah 33:6. "Behold, I will bring
it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth."
This passage as well as verse 7-14
notes the return from captivity and the special predictions in connection with the event. Health in this
instance is the result of being cured. Thus, the native land was sound and
acceptable to be cured.

Isaiah 66:12. The world will see
God's goodness.
God's work of restoration is as
unstoppable as the birth of a baby.
Jeremiah 17:14, 13, 18. Jeremiah
warns the people.
17:14. "Heal me, O Lord, and I
shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise."
The healing that had been done by the
false leaders (Jeremiah
Galatians 5:22-23. Living by the Holy
Spirits power.
5:22. "But the fruit of the
Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith."
The fruit of the Sprit: is the action
of the Holy Spirit in us. The Spirit produces character traits that are found in the nature of Christ. (Also
see John 15:4-5).
5:23. "Meekness, temperance:
against such there is no law."
The God who sent the law also sent
the Spirit. Thus a Spirit filled life is in perfect harmony with God's law.
Jeremiah 33:14-16.
These verses note the first and
second coming of Christ. Christ first established his reign in the hearts of believers. The second coming will
see Christ executing the Judgment.
