Part
3: Education
Editors Note:
Man
trains the mind. God trains the heart. The world’s knowledge may offer you
bread and wine, however the Truth of God will provide all things and Peace and
Paradise forever.
In
the name of Almighty God, Master of the universe Ruler of all the earth
Greetings Brethren,
Peace be unto you. To the Church
and believing Christians everywhere. To those that believe in the Bible as the
supreme authority that governs all of humankind. In this we give thanks to God
the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit that leads and guides us the
straightway.
The tragic results of forced
integration in the public schools eventually led to what those people at the
FreedomJournal call mis-education. Meanwhile, the demand and interest in the
historical record of those once held in bondage camps also produced a sham
called Black or African-American Studies. Black Willie was born in Georgia and
was kin to Africans; however he was Black like me. However, the African,
although Black like me came from a land once known in antiquity as “The Land of
The Blacks.” They call this land mass in
2009 and last year and many years hence as Africa. Then came the man child from
Africa to America and gained citizenship. The African became an
African-American; the man child from Georgia was just Black like me.
The
Panacea Of The School House
From
time I can early remember, I was
told
and taught that an education would
bring
comfort to those poor, Po and Black
like
me in Georgia, Tennessee and even
in
Africa the land of the Blacks.
We
had good teachers then because,
down
south there were separate schools
and
where I came from they were good
schools
much better than the schools that
developed
after the Busses came.
Then
I believe as I reach back and look as
the
Spirit would have me to look was a
time
when Black teachers taught Black
youth
principles, morals and values. Hip
Hop
was not upon us nor were the many,
Vices
that came with a world that made
the
transition from Liberal to all things
immoral
and ungodly. Well anyway, the
Busses
came and the walls of segregation
and
Jim Black Crow were allegedly torn down.
What
did they make room for? White folk
fled
to the suburbs and many private schools
became
clandestine places for privileged
education.
The poor and Po took over the
inner
city schools and PoVerty was not,
Even
a theory as the FreedomJournal was
in
the formative stages as they went through
this
fire to reflect now and send to the masses
what
we have seen and heard. Eventually though
there
was the need to further this education.
If
you came out before the Busses came, did
you
have a better chance? Well anyway I
saw
the Black Awareness Movement and I
felt
many of these things while serving in the
military.
Black
pride rode in the gun and the hand
shake
and the Black fist was clinched. Many
Black
youth cried out on many college campuses
for
the right to see and read the history of their
ancestors.
Recruitment
came upon the Black and poor as
the
Po were not in college. They sent many of
the
poor corrupt pseudo intellectuals to stock the
departments
that came about allegedly making
claims
to Black Studies.
Mis-education
as told by Carter G. Woodson went
to
another level and the FreedomJournal is here to
tell
about it in “Fallen Letters: Mis-edcuation and
Intellectual
Confusion Essays on the Black Experience.”
There
were sad days for Kwame Nkrumah and even,
Sadder
days for the Georgia born, Tennessee born
Black
man who wanted the Truth about the Black
experience.
Some schools said you are just supposed
to
act like you want to know. Change your name and
dress
African and be a part of the game.
Thus
many, yes African men and women came
upon
the scene many of our youth also died as
some
could not take the sham. Many also gave up
the
Ghost to drugs, alcohol and many minds became
depressed
and tired.
Institutionalized
education is rote memory and
programming
to be brainwashed at the best Black
and
White schools. What of individualism and the
personal
quest for learning? What also if you take God
with
you? Just where did the independent mind go?
During
the Dark Days of my time I thought that
the
distortion of the historical record of the Black
experience
extending from Africa was the greatest
crime
committed against the Black man, woman
boy
and girl.
Now
I see and feel the Spirit, now I know that the
greatest
crime against humanity is the distortion of
the
true history of the Church and Christ. Now I
know
that Christ is the answer to all problems Black
or
White. Is this a crime?
