DEATH
OR LIFE TO THE WICKED
In
the name of God, Master of the universe, Ruler of the earth.
Greetings Brethren,
Peace be
unto you. My beloved there is surely a blessing for all times in reading and
seeing the scripture. Her we see life and death but most of all we see life
everlasting.
Peace and Love, Carl a. Patton
writing for the FreedomJournal 18 April 2008 in the year of our lord and Savior
Christ Jesus.
We will begin our discussion at
Exodus 11: 10. The King the Pharaoh was heartless toward the people of Israel.
But how do these messages here apply to us today? I there
common sense in reading and studying the Bible? Some things ceased with
the ending of the Old Law and the times of the Patriarchs. However we see a
great lesson as we move through the Bible from the Old
to the New.
Exodus 11:10: “And Moses and Aaron
did all these wonders before Pharaoh: and the Lord hardened Pharaoh’s heart, so
that he would not let the children of Israel go out of his land.”
Moses and Aaron would not face
Pharaoh again. Nor would the Lord would not perform any other miracles before
him.
God with us now to a
prominent New Testament scripture that speaks to the central nature of the
verse that involved the sins of Pharaoh again the Jews. At Romans the 2nd
Division Paul writes about God’s judgment of sin.
Romans 2: 5: “But after thy
hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up into
thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment
of God:
Those with a hard and impenitent
heart are unashamed in an arrogant and stubborn desire to continue it eh way of
wrongdoing. Where are these people today? The unconverted in the church thus
store up evil deeds that will bring the wrath of God. That day is the Day of
Judgment noted by Paul in Acts 17: 31.
Now beloved follow us to our
primary scripture noted at the 33rd Division of Ezekiel. Here the
writer records messages of hope and God seeks to restore His people. This
chapter is also a reminder to Ezekiel that he is a watchman. For your thought
and mediation who is the watchman along the watchtower that the legendary Jimi Hendrix sung about?
Our primary verse is verse 11.
However we suggest that you read and digest all 33 verses for a good
understanding of the over-all message here.
Ezekiel 33: 11: “Say unto them, As
I live, saith the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but
that the wicked turn form his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil
ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?”
Like Jeremiah the Prophet Ezekiel
was called by God to preach to a rebellious nation. In this capacity he is
called to be a watchman for Israel. He speaks as (Ezekiel mean God strengthens)
the Lord commands warning God’s people and individuals to repent.
Meanwhile in this scripture we see
the Lord declaring that He has no pleasure in the death of the wicked. Thus the
opposite is His desire. This is why the wicked are asked to turn from his evil
ways. What does the phrase “why will ye die” mean? Is this a challenge to the
evil and wicked to show a reason for his decision to die?
There is no reason that can be
given because there is nothing that lies beyond death that can repay him for
this unwise course of action. Also the wicked has no valid excuse for his
actions. Not only is the Lord warning his of what is in store for the wicked
but also promised to help him avoid the ways of evil.
Now for some additional Word go
with us over to I Timothy 2 where the writer offers instructions for the church
and worship.
I Timothy 2: 4: “Who will have all
men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of truth.
Brethren you cannot reap salvation
without the knowledge of the truth. God wants us all to know the Truth. However
we cannot embrace Truth if we have a hard, stubborn heath.
Beloved we will end this part of
our discussion with a very powerful scripture taken from II Peter 3. Here the
writer reveals hope for growing Christians. There are 18 verses recorded here
we suggest that you read and study all of them bearing in mind the context of
our discussion.
II Peter 3: 9: “The Lord is not
slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness, but is longsuffering
to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to
repentance.”
Beloved we know that the divine
ways and attributes of God cannot be compared to the ways of man in the flesh.
Slack in reference to man means to delay or be slow in doing something that has
been promised or predicted. However this does not apply to the Lord.
The so-called delay in bringing the
earth to an end is due to the longsuffering or patience that God is manifesting
toward humanity. This it cannot be compared to the slackness of man. There will
be no chance of being saved after the earth is destroyed thus the phrase “not
willing that any should perish.” Therefore if we are to be delivered from our
sins it must be before the end of the world or before death.
This scripture further reveals that
those who do not repent will perish. See where Jesus taught this truth at Luke
13: 3-5. Also it is important to note that the longsuffering of God is not
endless see Genesis (the days of Noah) 6:3; I Peter 3: 20. God has infinite
wisdom when He decides that longsuffering has served its full purpose He will
bring about the end.
THE
WICKED DEATH OR LIFE
Those
that ride a tainted, vile
and
mostly evil horse have
come
to deny economic parity
too
many of their brethren.
Bowing
to the Devil they have
also
claimed no allegiance to
the
Godly and dally in a
futile
attempt to destroy the
soul
and body of those sent by
God.
However
the Spirit is beyond
the
reach of the flesh and
this
is what carry’s one to
righteousness.
