CREMATION AND THE SPIRIT
PART 87: CAN WE REJOICE IN THE SPIRIT LIKE JESUS?
In
the name of God master of the universe, Ruler of the earth
Praise be to God for
yet another day. Brethren we greet you in the name of God our Father your
Father who Created the World and all that exists. Thanks be to God for our
Savior Jesus Christ and the Divine presence of the Holy Spirit.
Beloved the Spirit of
Jesus is righteous. Can we also have this Spirit? Will the Saints in the Spirit
of Jesus allow their body, soul and Spirit to be CREMATED?
WE thank God today
for the Truth of His Word. So through this Word of Truth we see all things. We
rejoice in our growing in Truth as we proceed to show what the Bible says about
the ungodly act of CREMATION. We still come with a sad heart as we reflect on
the many lost Churches that preach and teach that BURNING the body at death as
a way to dispose the body is an option for the believers.
Luke 10: 20-21.
“Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you;
but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.” (Also see
Revelation 13:8, 20:12, 21:27).
“In that hour Jesus
rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth
that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed
them unto babes even so, Father ; for so
it seemed good in thy sight.” (Also see Matthew 11:25 and II Corinthians 2:6).
Brethren there was no
righteousness in the Disciples rejoicing are boasting of the power of the Holy
Spirit given to them. We are not to boast of the Holy Spirit that resides in
us. Although (these gifts ended with passing of the Apostles and the completion
of the New Testament) we are not given the gifts of healing and speaking in
tongues we still have power. But the Disciples are to rejoice as we are to
rejoice in knowing that our names are written in heaven. This is seen in the
essence of Spiritual healing.
In verse 20 Jesus
teaches that the Spirit and Truth of God are available to all that will embrace
and accept God and the Messiah. So the Spirit that Jesus rejoiced in was the
Spirit of Truth. Meanwhile those that are wise and have extensive credentials
are not the only ones afforded the blessings of God. Turn with us to a
companion scripture for a further word.
I Corinthians 1: 19.
“For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to
nothing the understanding of the prudent.” (Also see Job 5:12-13).
This passage is
quoted in Isaiah 29:10-14 and will go there shortly. However the record shows
that God does not operate on the wisdom of the world. Therefore the wisdom of
the sages was proven unwise and contrary to natural evidences. For example man
can spend a life time accumulating human wisdom however if he does not know God
he knows very little. Meanwhile, the wisdom of God (Walking with God) calls for
great sacrifices. As we stay in the Spirit we have Joy and relish the
experience of eternal life. No man or institution in the world or any amount of
money can offer you admittance into the kingdom of Peace and Paradise and
eternal life.
In the Old Testament
Book of Isaiah we find the same words noted here. Verse 14 is our primary verse
but we will begin with verse 10 for our review.
Isaiah 29: 10-12. “For
the Lord hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed
your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers hath he covered.” (Also see
Romans 11: 8).
“And the vision of
all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read
this, I pray thee: and he saith, I
cannot; for it is sealed:”
“And the book is
delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he
saith, I am not learned.”
Often many of the
Prophets noted a place, time and condition of ancient Israel that also denotes
a time of Christ. Here we see Isaiah revealing the Hebrew people were true to
form all through the ages. Therefore this prophecy applies to ancient Israel
and to later Hebrew history. (See Matthew 15: 8-9).
Now look at the
phrase “the Lord hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep.” The Lord
here gave people over to the kind of life they wanted to live. God will not use
force of Divine intervention to sway those that willfully reject Him.
Now on to verse 11.
Here we see a powerful Word that again speaks of the time of Christ and to our
contemporary times. In the Church of Christ the (so-called Church of Christ
because the True Church of Christ does not thrive on False teaching and
ignorance) Elders refuse to read anything contrary to Cult Doctrines of
CREAMATION. Here we find in scripture
that the senses of the people had become so dulled by their sins that it is compared to a man of learning excusing
his inability to read a book on the pretense that it was sealed.
Meanwhile in verse 12
this man did not say anything about the book being sealed, He only said that he
was not learned. Some have also said this in the Church of Christ however this
is no excuse to reject Book, Chapter and Verse that reject the Pagan notions of
CREMATION. But we see that those learned
and those unlearned could not see Truth because of the dulled state of their
minds from the wordily pursuit of sin. Brethren the world teaches CREMATION. Thus
the so-called Churches of Christ and those of other Pagan sects bow to the
world and not to God.
Isaiah 29: 13-14.
“Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their
mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from
me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:”
“Therefore, behold, I
will proceed to do a marvelous work among this people, even a marvelous work
and a wonder: for the wisdom for their wise men shall perish and the understanding
of their prudent men shall be hid.”
The passage of
scripture in verse 13 is noted by Jesus in Matthew 15:9. Mouth and lip service
reveals one that is not sincerely devoted to the cause. In the contemporary
Church many talk a good game but live evil and wicked lives.
Meanwhile our primary
verse reveals that the Hebrew leaders were filled with self-esteem. This caused
them to think that their wisdom was exceptional. This is still true today. The
Church leaders (those that are popular) are filed with self-esteem as many
think they are little gods. However they bring messages from Satan like
CREMATION.
