THE SO-CALLED CURSE OF HAM
Genesis 9: 18: “And
the sons of Noah, that went forth of the ark, we Shem, and Ham, and Japheth:
and Ham is the father of Canaan.
Genesis 9: 22: “And Ham,
the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two
brethren without.
Verse 24: “And Noah
awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him.”
Verse 25: “And he
said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.
So the curse was on
Canaan not on Ham. The sons of Ham were:
Cush, Mizraim, Phut and Canaan. Shem is the ancestor of the Jews, Japheth the
Gentiles and Ham Black people.
Meanwhile the Bible
and secular texts reveal that the land of Cush is significant to Ethiopia.
Mizraim is significant to the Upper and Lower Egypt; Phut is noted as between
Ethiopia and Egypt. While the land of Canaan is the land of Sidon, Gerar, Gaza, Sodom and
Gomorrah, Admah, Zeboim and Lasha.
For the record none
of these lands are in Africa. However bear in mind what happened in the lands
of Sodom and Gomorrah. The curse rests in things immoral etc. not in regard to
the color of one’s skin. Nor does the alleged curse justify the Trans-Atlantic
Slave Trade.
Meanwhile the alleged
curse on Ham is a myth. Most likely projected by White Supremacists and
hatemonger’s.
