Greetings
Brethren,
"There was
once a man who wanted a harvest of turnip greens. He planted the seeds and as
the seeds came to life he gathered them. However, along the way he never tried to
turn turnip greens into collard greens. He also knew that to eat the greens he
had to gather them. Now someone else could have gathered them but he wanted
four pounds. Although all had scales and means to measure and weigh greens some
made mistakes. Some even willfully made mistakes.
The old man
decided that the best way to get his four pounds was to gather and weigh the
greens himself."
"I looked
further and I saw two men who said they wanted to know God. However, one man
relied on a Preacher to tell him of God. While the other man, who was wise
relied on several sources. The Holy Spirit, the Bible, the Preacher and his own
study. As you know one man was righteous and one was unrighteous. The righteous
will have eternal life while the man that only relied on a Preacher will have
death forever."

FREEDOMJOURNAL
RESPONDS TO THE DISTORTION OF SCRIPTURE ON ANOINTING
BY MR.
BROWN
ANOINTING
SERIES: DISCERN TRUTH FROM LIES
PART 3:
THE ANOINTING OF JESUS AND THE APOSTLES
Those that read
and study the Bible for Truth consistently see that Jesus and the Apostles were
anointed to render great power. However the Bible is clear that great power is
not extended to all believers. Sadly in the world today we have a great throng
of mis-guided people that think that God has given the believers the power that
was passed to the Apostles and Jesus. To justify this false claim they reveal
that all can have this power. Although
the mere pew member will not have the power of miracles like the False Prophets
who call themselves Bishops and Rev. /Dr's.
We continue with
the scripture that Mr. Brown claims renders him and his blind flock miraculous
power.
2 Corinthians
1:21 "Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed
us, is God.
FreedomJournal:
This time Mr. Brown did note the entire scripture. However this scripture does
not mean that Mr. Brown are all Christians have miraculous power because they
are anointed? This verse in no way
sanctions that all Christians are somehow anointed with great power etc. In
fact this verse refers the same principles previous noted in 1 John 20 and 27.
The word
Stablisheth means to confirm or strengthen a person in this work. For the
record a superficial reading of the Bible
and those that are ignorant of a correct way of reading and studying the
Bible and of course those that willfully and with premeditation lie on the
Bible take a word in a verse and run with it. Just because the word anointing
is used here does not mean we can make this apply to a particular situation
that we have chosen. This is a classic means by which the Slick Preachers
mis-guide and beguile the Foolish who rely on them and not God. Brethren we
warn you that God has commanded that we exercise individual responsibility in
studying the Bible. To rely on False Prophets and the Foolish in the Pulpits is
not of God.

Luke 4:18 "The
spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he anointed me to preach the gospel
to the
poor..."
FreedomJournal:
Again Mr. Brown only mentions part of a scripture. However he is careful to
note the part of the verse that has the word anointed. We will note the entire
verse and you will be able to clearly see that this verse refers to Jesus and
not man.
Luke 4:18.
"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach
the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach
deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at
liberty them that are bruised,
Here we see a
powerful scripture rendered by Jesus Christ the Savior of humankind. In this
chapter of Luke Jesus is teaching the Brethren.
Jesus also notes that God has anointed him. Nowhere in this verse is
Jesus or the writer inferring that God has ordained that man will have the
power of God. For the record we are now in the Christian Dispensation. The Old
and New Testaments have been completed and the Apostles have passed. NO ONE
THIS INCLUDES THE VARIOUS VERY POPULAR HEALING PREACHERS AND THOSE FILLED WITH
THE DEVILISH LUST OF MONEY PROSPERITY HAVE ANY MIRACULOUS POWER THAT GOD GAVE
THE APOSTLES AND JESUS.
Before
commenting on verse 18 let us turn to verse 17.
Luke 4:17.
"And he was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he
had opened the book, he found the place where it was written."
The ruler of the
synagogue observed and respected the position of Jesus. He handed him the Book
of Isaiah. Jesus was divinely inspired. (Let it be written that those that
claim that they are divinely inspired like Jesus are committing
blasphemy). Jesus did not need a copy of
the Book because he knew its contents. However, reading from the Book was
proper in the Synagogue.
Now turn back to
Luke 4:18. This passage is previously noted in Isaiah 61:1-3. This is the
prediction for the Spiritual Mission of Jesus Christ and not the prediction of
the Spiritual Mission of False Prophets. For more clarity we note that this
Spiritual Mission should not be confused with the Spiritual Mission of
believers. Our mission is not to heal are perform miraculous feats. Our mission
is to bear witness of God's power through Faith. HOWEVER AGAIN WE NOTE THAT MANY
COME TO PROFIT FROM THE WORD OF GOD. THUS CLAIMING THAT THEY HAVE GOD'S POWER.
THE LOGIC HERE IS THAT IN A SIN SICK WORLD OF MATERIALISM MANY WILL PAY FOR THE
POWER OF GOD BLINDLY THINKING THAT A SLICK PREACHER HAS THIS POWER.
The
FreedomJournal stands in the Gap noting that these Devils are liars and
Hell-Bent. As you read and study Luke 4:18 you will see that the statements in
this passage and the prediction noted in Isaiah 61:1-3 also make reference to
the miraculous cures Jesus was to perform. This verse does not say that all
people would have this power. (Also see Hebrews 1:9 for the anointing of Jesus
and not man).
